Downloading video

Fairly new to downloading my video. I have a Sony with hard drive and a mac with Final Cut Express. So, my cam, PC and a USB. I even took the frick'n on-line tutorial. I'd like to think I'm fairly smart, but still won't down load. Any suggestions?

First mistake was hard drive. Everybody I've talked to has problems with those (or maybe it was the miniDVD's). I use a Mac with Imovie and a firewire cable. Works great. I would go buy a firewire and skip the USB. Where are you located?

I agree! I have a HDD and hate it. It's a complete pain to work with. What camera are you working with?
