    Deer with tumor???

I have a trail cam pic of a deer with a huge tumor on its neck. If I take it will it be safe to eat? What would you do?

I would be surprised if that's a tumor, more than likely an abscess or hematoma. After you kill it stock a needle in it and if you get blood don't worry but if you get pus, don't eat. That's my two cents

I would take him and see what it is causing the lump. As stated above, it could be harmless. Be sure and post pics of the necropsy after the LDP.

I shot a hog that looked just like that last year. I ended up dumping the hog. I stuck the mass with an arrow and red pus came pouring out! Instead of killing it, why not just shot an arrow through the mass? Especially since you will most likely not eat him. It will be good practice too!
