Tried my hand at this last night. These are 2-fletch 5.5" high profile shield cuts. I hope to get a chance to miss some birds later today.

You will notice that they really hiss in flight.

By the way, here is the like I used to do mine last year. I didn't buy their feathers (ground down quill) and just used regular uncut feathers.

The part I really like about the tutorial is the use of the contact cement and how easy it is to do it without the use of clamps.
