I have thought about doing the thread binding on the front end. Looks great.

By the way, here is the like I used to do mine last year. I didn't buy their feathers (ground down quill) and just used regular uncut feathers.

The part I really like about the tutorial is the use of the contact cement and how easy it is to do it without the use of clamps.
