Very nice, I dig the cholla, could you make pistol grips out of that?

I start with a cold oven and have the program in the oven set to ramp as fast as possible to 1100° and hold there for 5 minutes. Then it ramps to 1900° and holds for 15 minutes. Then I plate quench until cool and check the hardness. It's usually around 63 to 64 HRC. I temper twice for two hours each time at somewhere between 450° and 500° depending on how hard the blade was after the plate quench. The end result will be between 58 and 60 HRC after tempering.
