Check with the local game warden/forestry service. They may have them. They have been known to remove items left by visitors to the parks. Expect a fine for littering.

Big problem in the national forest, people leave their stands up all season, effectively (and illegally) claiming that spot...even though its public land. Often I have stumbled on ladder stands that have clearly been abandoned, besides trashing my public land, there is no telling how many seasons this area was avoided due to a stand being left there.

if I see someone steal something, I report it. If I witness poaching I report it....but according to some here, reporting illegal activity on public lands is the equivalent to being "uncool" or a childhood tattle tail?

Still don't understand how a person can be shocked when they leave anything of value in a public area, with or without rules, and it turns up missing.

Bummer it happened but what did you really expect?

Haha, Obama is behind it all...well put.

I would have to agree with this." If you see something say something". Those that advocate, endorse or ignore the illegal acts of others become part of the problem.

                Agreed

I have had several honey holes ruined by a holes going in clearing brush and setting up "permanent" set ups. I typically pack in and out unless I'm hunting on a very regular basis.

I never call stuff in during the season unless its an illegal feeder or something. But if it obviously has been there a while, sure, I have no problem sending in the coordinates. I just don't like seeing trash on public land. I wouldn't do that on a trail camera, that's just scouting at your own risk in my book.

I had a neighbor that was upset that his hanging bucket feeder was stolen from the SHNF. Go figure.

I personally wouldn't leave anything on public land that I didn't want someone to walk away with!
