Bastrop co. free range exotic bow kill!

Well after shooting my best buck to date yesterday, I didn’t think my weekend could get any better. That’s was until 1230 today, waiting for a doe to walk out. I look up and the last thing I’d ever imagine to walk out of the woods walked out, a freaking red deer/stag hind! whatever you want to call it. She was standing broadside at 58 yards. I split my 50-60 pins right behind her shoulder and double lunged her! Stag are not unheard of around here, but are not a common occurrence. This is the 4 one shot on this property in 20 years. No trail cam pics of her or anything. What a weekend to remember.

                        Congratulations!

Is there a season or limits on exotics or are they treated like feral pigs?
