Which setting should I use to get the absolute highest quality video from my camera to my pc? I don't care about how large the file is. Thanks in advance, and merry christmas!

Which Capture Setting on Window Movie Maker?

first off it depends on what settings you have in your camera IF it's a multiple user choice for example 24p, 30i, 30p, 60i or 60p. Progressive scan (p) always has a higher resolution to tape than interlaced (i) but doesn't transfer as well to other formats or devices.
I'd suggest with going to 60i as it maintains a higher quality capture for faster motion/slow motion/ and multiple format transition.
Now I'm not sure about Movie Maker but just go to your 'settings' menu and it will tell you exactly what transitions your editing/transfer program will accept.
If your camera and computer offers firewire (1394iEEE) use that instead of USB. It's faster, cleaner, more stable.
