My brother and I got lucky and got drawn for Hill Country SNA Antlerless/Spike hunt on 1/16-1/18. Does anyone have any advice? This will be our first time ever hunting there.
Thanks! |

Be prepared to walk. You have to pack in and out everything to where ever you set up your blind. You park right off he side of the road. There are some wide hiking and horse trails to use. A mountain bike would be ideal with some kind of carrier or trailer pulled behind it.

It wasn't a fun hunt. It was a lot of walking. My brother and I got the pasture behind the camp house. We packed our pop up blinds and a metal chair to what we thought was good spot. We put out corn and the corn was still there the next morning. The rain didn't help us out much either. I think only one hog was killed.
