Default DIY Ladder stand

So I've been studying different ladder stands and decided to just build one, I built a feeder a while back and needed a blind or stand for it. I used 1 1/2" and 1" tubing and some 1" angle for the seat and expanded metal. It sits about 12' or 13' up.

Thanks and yea I thought about the detachable legs but I don't plan to move it from our place or its location now so I decided against it but if you were to move one that would be very helpful

Looks good, That ladder is going to be slick when wet though. Get some of that sandpaper skateboard tape and add some to the step treads...

Thanks guys it's definitely not light but not sure how much exactly it weighs. Thanks for the tip on the steps being slick though that's a good idea to put something there

Nice work. When I have some free time this is what I need to build. Been shopping the available stands out there and have been very dubious of the quality especially for a big guy like me.

Great Job! I have hunted out of ladder stands forever and love their stability. Just a suggestion, you might want to bolt a swivel seat with no back, or if you have the clearance use the back, onto your existing seat. You will love ability to turn quietly as you prepare for the shot. A lot more comfy sit as well. Nice build!

I used the seat warming pads for comfort, but some times when I got ready to shoot I made noise while getting into position.

Did you put feet on it to stop it from sinking into the dirt?

I just used a boat seat cushion and yes I did add feet on the bottom so I wouldn't sink

That's just a 140 mig welder I use it for strictly flux core mig welding their good machines very simple not a whole lot to them. That would be a good machine to start with.
