Default Trophy Room/Office - Aquarium build!!

Three weeks of waiting is coming together. Lots of help from TBHers as usual. A custom 182 gallon freshwater tank, made with 1/2 inch thick acrylic . 30 or so assorted African Cyclids being delivered tomorrow.
Some random pics:

The guy did good work as he is the contact company for the cable TV show "Tanked" for the Houston area. The service agreement is pricey.......more than my 34,000 gallon swimming pool per month!!!

Did a guy named Steve do this for you? He takes care of my boss's fish tank, and was talking about putting sheds in a tank he was working on.

I will try and post some up tomorrow, I don't know if Steve built this one, its been here for about 15 years or so. But I know he handles all of the cleaning and adding and upgrading now. He is in our office pretty often.

Good deal. I think he has been solo for only a few years.

Awesome looking set up. A tank is like a fire I can sit and watch for hours. This might make me get back into it. Thanks a lot.

Very nice Oscar, can't wait to see it full of fish!

I made more than one trip to the fish store on 242 for my boss over the years, he had 2 large aquariums in our offices.

Very nice! Did you have to do anything to seal or stabilize the sheds?

I too am mesmerized by watching fish in aquariums. I used to set up a pillow and blanket on the floor and fall asleep under by 150 gal freshwater tank. There's no such thing as anxiety or insomnia when you have an aquarium!

They treated them with some type of non toxic coating, but honestly I don't know what it was. It was like a 3 day timeframe though. He did just text that delivery of fish is during lunch.

Right!

Mine actually had babies that grew up to about 4 inches when I gave them away. Found out later what a 4 inch cichlid sells for. We had yellow and black and the blue ones. Hearty fish for sure

Cool tank. Why did you pick African cichlids? I've had a lot of tanks in my life and my favorite have definitely been native Texas fish.

I will do sir. Lets see how this goes as I have never had a tank this big. My biggest was 30 gallon that is in my game room. It now looks tiny compared to this thing.

I have had tropical fish all my life. I even remember the 10 gallon tank my folks got us in the 70's. In college i have had small bass, catfish and even a small needle nose gar.
