I'm more of an old school....KC Dayliter....type of guy, but I couldn't pass up this LED light bar set-up from TBP.

Noticed plugs are black around the spark plug boot. I don't think I have ever changed them since I have had it. Might get new plugs and wires pretty quick.

I ain't happy with TBP. You can see that they modified the holes....but it still don't fit. Spent way too much money for it not to fit.

I can make it fit....but that's not the point....

Tom's Broncos mechanic suggested that I remove the bolts from the gear box, install the one that doesn't fit first....then try to install the remaining 2 bolts.

We shall see. Seems like Chinese math to me.

Not much to see. Ugly parts of the bronco that no one will see.

Rebuilding the steering column

Making room for the power steering pump and new pulley system

Looks good!

You don't need the misalignment spacers on the tie rod, only on the draglink. Drill and cotter pin the bolts or safety wire for added peace of mind.

You'll love the DOM steering linkage

I put a misalignment spacer on both sides of the rod end at both ends of the drag link (need to find the missing rascal for the pitman side)

Take a look at the panhard bar (track bar) in relation to your drag link.

Ideally, they should be the same angle, and the same length so as the axle droops when the suspension is cycling, they are not exerting opposing forces on the steering. This is often referred to as "bump steer"

I used a track bar riser from Wild Horses to bring the axle end if my track bar up. It welds to the axle.

You can just see it tucked in the back. I need to drill and pin my bolts. Daughter just helped me get it all back assembled a few days ago.

My next obstacle is getting the pulley pressed back on my power steering pump. I don't have a beefy enough impact. My rig came with factory power steering, but it has been completely rebuilt by PSC Motorsports. I'm debating on whether I want to install the ram assist, or leave it off. I had the box ported to accept it, and the ram is on my tool cart.

Your thread has given me some inspiration (and some ideas) as I reassemble my rig. I appreciate it.

This makes for a good excuse to upgrade to a GM style 1 wire alternator. Go from 50a to 130a, and a slightly larger case.

You have 2 choices:

Relocation of the seats, or find a console that is 8" wide.

Relocation of the seats is weird, because the steering wheel is no longer in the center of your seat.

8" console is a bit spendy, but worth it in the end. Tuffy is the brand I am familiar with, there may be others today.

Seats are aftermarket. I'm going to loosen them up and see if I have any wiggle room. They are crooked anyway.....

You can do that.

If you're a tall fella, a buddy of mine has a seat relocation kit available.
