Well as stated before in my recent kill threads, i just cant seem to get away from these suckers!!
Went out to my buddies ranch in Zapata County again this past week for a couple days. Deer movement is getting better for us but still not where it should be according to my buddy.
We seen a couple young 8's and a very nice 10 that should be a good one next year or two. A couple of them were pushing doe's but still no sign of the mature deer.
As for the hogs, well i think im getting my point across. Every week they seem to be getting thinner. It use to be 10-15 big ones and a bunch of little ones every morning and evening. Now its a couple big ones and a few little ones and not consistent.
Not sure if there finally feeling the pressure or they just moved on to a different area but both of my feeders are showing low hog numbers now.
Im pretty sure this is why were starting to see more deer. At least i hope this is the case..lol
Hog was taken at 22 yards with a Rage broadhead. There still impressing the heck out of me. Blood trail started with in a couple steps from being shot and recovered at about 60 yards.
For the record im 6 for 7 with these heads and i just made the change this year. The 1 that i didnt get was a very bad shot i made in the gut and didnt recover it.
Thanks,
Ray
