Well the weather changed and so did the hunting. We are really starting to get some good action at the ol homestead.
Sitting the blind last night I was watching a bunch of young 8s at the feeder when a sounder of hogs pushed them out.
Time for some fun! I busted the biggest sow and they scattered after she ran off. I was packing up to go look for her when back come the hogs. So I zapped sow number 2. I found the first one but the second left a good blood trail under the fence.
This morning I was back at the feeder and back watching the group we've dubbed the teenagers. This time they brought their girlfriends. My freezer is getting on the empty side so I decided to take a doe. At 30 yards she jumped the string a little but the Dirt nap broad head did its job and spined her. She flopped over where she stood. Her front legs were not working anymore but she was struggling with her back. I shot her in the neck to finish her off.
