Default To you folks, it might just be a

Truck. But to me itís a 6 year old dream/goal come true on May 25, 2018. 2018 Dodge Ram 2500 Laramie Sport in all Black Cummins Turbo diesel. Itís absolutely beautiful.

They threw in the extended 6 yr 72k mile warranty. Should I wait until it expires before the modifications start or is there some I can do that will not void?

Which ones should I be doing to it now since this is my first diesel?

May God bless all of you with great abundance as he has for us!

Beautiful truck. Nothing like having a brand new vehicle! I really like the black color too. Sure is purty but heck to keep clean. Congratulations on your new ride. That should last you a while.

Man that's my dream truck as well!

I love me some Dodge.
Don't know why but I do.

For me the only upgrade I might do is start saving my money. After I run this set of tires off I would put some matte black or Chrome rims and the biggest tires I could without having a lift or having to regear it.

I like lifted trucks, just not one a daily driver.

Thanks for all the comments and great words fellas. I think I will just drive the out of it for now until the warranties wears out.

I grew up driving 66-70 Chevy hot rods as a youngster so after that we gotta do some tuning on it.

My wife just got a new Charger a while back that needs some tuning as well. Iím thinking a whipple is first. We have been truly blessed as of late. I wish you all the same.

This one will be my daily for now. That 87 K5 in the post is the one fixing to get lifted, tires and some work done to it.

I was a Chevy man my whole life. Really like the new body style of the dodges when the came out in 2009. I bought one of the first ones, a 2009 Sport 1500 with the hemi off a dealership in Kilgore.

It has 218k on it now and my son still uses it everyday for a work truck. I thought to myself I have to at least try another one before I go back

Replace the tires. Mine had the same stock tires and they had to be replaced by mile marker 25,000. They are junk.

Other than that, leave her how she is. Good lookin ride

I wouldnít do a thing to it. Drive it and enjoy it. It will do everything you need it to just like it sits.

Once the warranty(ies) are up I would delete it and drive it until you just get tired of it.

Donít pay any attention to the Dodge hater comments. The 4th generation trucks are every bit as nice as any of the others and they will tow just as good as the others even with all their claimed extra power and it will get better mileage than them.

I hear that a lot, but haven't seen it to be true for myself...maybe I just got lucky, but I'm at 36k now, and minimal wear. I decided to drive them till they needed replacing, and do an upgrade on wheels at that time. I'm still on the factory set

I'll agree with your second part tho...the truck looks great just as she sits. Beautiful truck, OP

Why the extended warranty now? Doesn't the mfg warranty cover it for 3-5 years or so? I never see the reason to buy an extended warranty when it is already covered.

Nice truck!

The extended warranty does even become effective for 3 more years , and I promise it was not free. You could have negotiated the cost off your paying price. How much off list sticker price did you get?

12k off sticker plus. 67k list, 55k purchase, plus Door 2 Door side steps thrown and installed when they come in as well.

It was free this time. Salesman sent me the work up on the payment before we even went thru financing. I know they try to add all the extra gap protection, wheel and tires protection, etc etc. I was set on the monthly payment that the salesman gave us when he ran the initial numbers and told the finance guy that is what I wanted to pay and I would not take no for an answer. So he extended the 3yr 36k at that payment, to 6yr 72k and my payment did not change. I dnt know how more free than that you can get in the world we love in today my friend.

Good looking rig! My advice is watch some youtube videos and get familiar with how to change your own oil and fuel filters... they will wear you out at the dealership on those.

I waited a year until I got into mine. If you are going to level it out look at Carli and Thuren. I went with Superlift and I'm glad I did but it sits a little higher than most people who drive all day want (4" with 37" Toyo RT's... going back to Nitto's though). The only thing I wish I could do away with is the DEF but anyone with a diesel who isn't willing to delete feels my pain.

Finally get a ceramic coat wax job. It will keep that black looking AMAZING for years to come.

Congrats again!

is Trading it for something with a blue oval an option? Ha! Kidding.

Sweet truck. I like the crap out of that all black, except for cleaning it all the time. Iíd avoid doing anything to it performance wise until that warranty is gone. These new diesels are way to expensive when stuff goes wrong.
