                      When people are aging deer, I believe they are looking at the wrong areas to judge by. This seers neck joins his brisket where it comes into his shoulders. Even a 3 yr old seers neck will join about a1/3 way up from the bottom. When looking at a deer neck, look at the base where it joins the brisket and shoulders. Look at the waist line, not necessarily for a belly. Not many deer have any belly at all this time of year. 3 ur old deer and younger will have a V in their waste line (this deer does not). These are just a couple of helpful aging tools. Nearly every deer posted to be aged gets a majority vote for 3.5 when most are not. Just trying to be helpful.
