First speckled trout on the fly rod.

Yesterday my brother and I set out with the goal of catching our first specks on the fly rod and we did just that. We managed to catch 7 trout between us and left them biting. It was an awesome day on the water!

We were fishing a deeper cut adjacent to a shell/mud flat. The fish were holding on the bottom and we were having a hard time getting fly down to them.

I have yet to master the casting part but it's an absolute blast catching a fish on a fly rod!
