Plinking with a 300 Win Mag

Got some footage of the last outing with my 300 win mag. I was shooting at 950 on some private property. Playing around with my editing software.

Rifle: Long Rifles Inc 300wm - Tac300 action, Bartlein barrel, Jewel trigger, LRI muzzle break

    Optic: Leupold MK4 4-14 mildot

Ammo: hornady precision hunter 200gr eldx

That's some nice shooting. How many rounds it take to get on target initially?

I'd love to stretch my 308 out close to 1000 someday.

Thanks man. Those were first rounds from that distance. I checked muzzle velocity at 500 and used a ballistic solver for my data at 950.

Depending on barrel and set up of your rifle it might be possible. You will want to be shooting 175s or heavier.

I have 168 and 175 loads. Rifle is a AAC-SD with 20" barrel and is bedded in a HS Precision. 100 yard performance is **** near same hole 5 shot groups.

16 inch barrel will be near the limits of performance possibly but you should be able to do it. My 308 has a 22 inch barrel and shoots 175s just fine at 1K (sub moa group)

Handloading helps too. Lets me tailor my load to preform at longer ranges.

The muzzle break and the weight of the rifle make it pleasant to shoot actually!
