Anyone know what kind of critter does this?

Does anyone know what kind of critter may have done this? At first I thought it was cud from deer, but I've read that deer and cows don't spit up or spit out cud. I saw a lot of these clumps of I'm guessing oats along the edge of an oat field at the lease this weekend?
Looked like some kind of critter ate the oats and the spit it back up?

Maybe a dog or coyote? I've seen dogs eat grass and puke it back up. Kinda looks like that.

ive got a large tortoise as a pet that eats grass literally all day long. his poo looks just like this.

I was thinking that as a possibility, it does look like grass spit up by a dog. Was just strange seeing so many of those piles along the field.
