Eaten plenty of that dark purple greatness. Very sweet and I put it between axis and elk. It just has odd appearance because it's so dark. Cook rare

ITs great, dark, but great. Very close to elk or stag if you have ever had those.

Excellent.

Like other meats, don't over cook.

I was told by numerous people that its gross.

I killed a big, nasty rutted up buck first of October.

one of the best eating meats I've ever had

Nailed it. Some of the best meat I’ve had, including rutted up bucks who’s hide smell like urine.

Buddy shot a Sika spike several years ago--best venison I've ever had--by far.

Default Great on the grill

Love Sika cooked to a medium rare. Season it up, sear both sides and put it on the plate!

One of the best tasting venison I've ever had. Very sweet taste and a melt in your mouth texture.
