Why no open carry during bow season

Same reason you can't take a rifle to the stand while bowhunting deer in October.

Started way back there when the bow season was first instituted. TP&WD was actually afraid some hunters would just shoot deer with pistol (or rifle) and stick an arrow in it.

Again... another dumb law, if it's archery"season" and I have a pistol with me or a 3030 and don't shoot deer with either it should be ok if I see a wild hog or cote out of bow range to blast with a gun if I so choose.... I wouldn't buy that's not a reason to make it against the law... just dumb.
