you can shoot grackles...it's a regular outing for myself and the Fed GW when we find flights. It's called depredation & helping the farmers. We kill redwings too!!

i felt the same way until our plague of grasshoppers two years ago. i watched 250 grackles eat every one they saw. i only wished they had been more numerous and much earlier. they were death and taxes, and i am grateful for them.
