I would like to start this off by saying thank you to my friend Mitch (Krivoman) and his family for letting me go out to his ranch and try for a chance at a nice buck. I had a wonderful time, great food and fellowship always makes for a great weekend.
Mitch had a pattern on a big 6 point so he put me in a stand that I had a good chance in seeing him. The first hunt he did come in but he would not give me the time for a good shot. I don’t know how many times I started and stopped that video camera. He finally left the area for the evening.
The next morning I hunted the same spot, it did not take long for the deer to start and filter in. I’m not sure what time he did come in but once he did the video camera was getting a work out again, on and off on and off, finally he settled down enough and it was game time. With the video running I got ready for the shot, everything was going great. I took aim and sent the arrow on its way, with a loud crack the buck hit the dirt right where he had been standing. He was still alive and moving around, so a few text messages later we figured I had some how hit him in the spine. So a good follow up shot was needed to finish him off. We have watched the video several times and can not figure out how the arrow turned up so quick. Mitch will attach the video when he has a chance. Once again Thanks Mitch
So here are some LDP’s of me and my big 6 pointer.
