That deer did not die by that snare. The fence isn’t even bent

That is one of my questions, also. I don't see where the snare was connected to the fence.

How is this a high fence issue?

How did the spike in the first picture get caught?

Why was the hole made in the fence to snare something. Most folks just put snares in the hole that was already dug out by varmints. I don't get creating the hole and putting a snare there.

        Is this your lease/ranch?

I have seen deer do this on a 52 inch cattle fence. Our Biologist was brutal and called them lazy deer...................

Neighbors called one morning and said there was a deer hanging in my back yard. Thankfully he was able to shake free shortly after this pic was taken!

She could have gone through that hole at a dead run and hardly missed a step...if not for the snare.

                High fence kills

I’ve seen more deer caught in low fence than I have high fence...
And I’ve been in a lot of high fence ranches.

This one was lucky to survive. We found him just in time. We had an area baited with Little Debbie's for pigs and he must have tried to jump in. We were able to release him but a neighbor said he thought he got hit up on the highway near the donut shop.

The snare is around the neck and there was still blood and even a couple
                    Bubbles coming from her nose.
I think she stuck her head in than pulled back out.

Two different professional trappers have told me a deer cannot be caught in a properly set snare

The title of the thread was just make a bit of fun since both the deer were dead and their deaths happen to be associated with a HF.......I knew some folks would take it wrong and I was correct.
I’m sure more deer die hanging from low fences than HF.

An intentional hole seems like they are wanting stuff to go through it, seems kinda counter intuitive to me. We patch holes when we find them and only snare if they are dead set on using it anymore.

No but I’ve seen deer in a snare and the ground and fence gets destroyed. I could be wrong but I doubt it.
