Good Job! Just a suggestion, but maybe tell him if he has good grades next term, keeps practicing, and helps keep your shooting area tidy after practice sessions you could see about helping him make his own self-bow.

That boy is looking for someone to please and look up to - looks like he chose you. If he feels like he earned/made a bow, that'll be better than the best store bought bow to him.

When I was a little kid, my neighbor was a bowhunter and he would let me shoot a bow with him in his driveway with the target in his garage. I can't tell you how many paint cans I hit when I missed the target. 30+ years later I still remember shooting my bow and the elk mount in his house. You're doing right by that kid, he won't ever forget.

Way to go!I still remember a guy letting me tag along on lake proctor when I was a kid. He was bowfishing from the bank and I followed him all over that lake one day. I proally wore him out but he was a s nice as could be.
