    New to Traditional- Need Advice

I am looking at getting a Martin X-200 Recurve Bow. It is 45# at 28" and the bow is 60inches.

Is 60 inches to long to hunt with or should i get one that is 50inches??

Is this a good bow?? $125 for bow, quiver, 10 arrows, string, bow stinger and glove.

I don't think you can go wrong with A Martin, 60" will be find
I hunt with a 66" long bow. 45lb is a good weight to start with.
I'm not an expert but there is alot of what I call experts here.
Ask alot of questions and get the right arrow spine combination
and practice practice practice! I'm sure you will get some good
advice from some of the others soon. I have shot trad. for about
20 years with no outside help, and I can tell you I didnot know anything
till I found this site. And the price sounds good.

60" is perfect. I hunt with recurves from 58 to 62 and the 60" is my favorite

60" is my favorite recurve length. Martin makes a good bow for the price. I think you've got a good deal. Find you some trad shooters and get onsite pointers. First and foremost, learn good form. You're going to enjoy it.

If the bow is in good shape and has no limb twist, it is a good deal.

It will be a fine bow to start with and you can certainly hunt with it.

Buy it and start shooting. The arrows may or maynot be right for the bow at your draw lenght. My advice is to shoot them and see how they fly.

Sounds like a good deal. Martin makes good bows and if this one has no problems, you will have a good set up. Come back with info on the arrow - brand/model, length, fletching, and point weight and people will let you know how well they match up. Of course, shooting them and watching arrow flight like Chunky said, will let you know if they work for you.
