        Always spelled it pouledeaux for coots..... I have been corrected by different Cajuns with peule deau and then re-corrected with pouledeaux....so who the hell knows.. Their spelling is like a gumbo pot...Its a mix of whatever letters they can pull together at the time..

        I hear "swimmin' gizzards" as well.
