2006, @207k miles, bought new and been paid off for a while. Yep, slightly more expensive to run, but pulls that 37' of fifth wheel just fine. Highway empty i can run @18mpg, towing in the 12's. Stock other than possibly a light turned off, never seen it roll coal.

Typical pics, country boys pullin horse trailers n such with a dodge gets passed by the city slicker going to his office job in a sparkling,
brand new F250.

Cherokees are easily replaced with a MB diesel, burn refined/filtered cooking oil too. My next project if I ever get around to it.

If I keep it there's a OM617 slated for it, it was more of a comment that I don't drive the diesel, unless need to pull something.

You said diesel, right? Well it is not a truck, but it is the wife's new ride. A 2018 Jaguar F-Pace with a 4 banger diesel. Just took it on its first road trip, the computer in the car says we averaged 35.5mpg. I will actually check it the old fashion way next time to see what it is actually doing but I think that is going to be really close. I would post up my '15 chevy, but who wants to see another duramax that pulls a 5th wheel, boat, and numerous trailers not to mention gets around 20mpg ( unloaded ) on the highway

What surprises me is that there are "2" 6.0 Fords diesels listed or showed that have high mileage and still running! A total shock!
You could not give me one of those if I had to maintain it for more than 1 day. Been there done that!

Lots of nice looking rigs guys, all of them! I am jealous of those 6.0's!

I know Im the odd one out but I love my 6.0. Has never (knock on wood) left me stranded. Plenty of power for what I need and still simple enough for me to work on.

No, you aren't I use mine when towing campers, pontoon boat, etc. And other than that, they're in the normal position. And yes, I've been asked why as well by a fellow Ram owner...he didn't like my answer about not looking like a freaking moron while not towing anything
