Well, the good news about cancelled games tonight is that my son’s replacement bat showed up about an hour ago, and we were home to get it. He’s thrilled to have it for tomorrow and Sunday. Bought him an Axe bat back in July and he put a pretty significant dent on it. He’s been hitting really well with it, and was not happy about doing this tournament without it!

Kid went 4 innings. Gave up a run. He didn’t have his best stuff but great game for him as he had to pitch his way out of a few jams. Enjoy them while they are small. I’m just shy of 6’4”. Don’t know what he is.

Well, played great in game 1 and then got smoked in game 2 by a team we handled well yesterday. They came out today hitting the ball like animals and forced some errors on us, was tough to watch.

We have a couple league games this week then the NIT in Beaumont next weekend.

Finished in 3rd place this weekend after a tough loss in the semi’s.

Noah hit another home run, but his bat, “Big Bertha”, paid the ultimate price. She cracked has been retired.

Won the first game this morning. Got absolutely throttled in the 2nd game. Fun weekend other than the beating the cold and wind Ardmore handed out this weekend.

Boys pulled it off and wion the final against another tough elite team thats given us trouble in the past.

Tan worked himself out of his hitting funk and smoked one up the middle to the fence.. got a little confidence back and then made a key out with a bomb hit to him in right field.. .
Talk of a invitational tournament/set of games for some other elite teams to help get the teams ready for gulf shores... should be fun.

9u son pulled out the championship today in the Houston select tournament. 13 hours of ball but the little batter's box team absolutely crushed the ball all day. 12u son got down to Sugarland only to be told the field was not playable. Moved them to Katy with the same results so their weekend was a wash. On to Beaumont next weekend.

After going 0-2 yesterday, I wasn't expecting them to beat the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd cedes today, but they gritted it out, and did just that.

Great to see !! Yall did awesome.

We did a charity game out in Arlington Saturday. Worked with the Miracle League. Kiddos had a blast, and it was beautiful to see so many smiling faces.

My son plays 14u. We were rained out Sat. but played two games early Sun. morning. Frigging weather was terrible, 40 degrees and the wind was straight howling. The team we played in the second game shall remain nameless. The kid they threw against us was a pretty good pitcher, one of the better pitchers we've seen this spring. Threw hard, decent size kid. Kid threw 104 pitches. I couldn't believe his coaches and parents allowed that. If that were my kid, I would have had words with the coach. Honestly, it wouldn't have gotten to that point.

Ridiculous weather last weekend. 24 degree windchill....20-40 mph wind and temps in the 30s.
That's the coldest I have been in a long time. Definitely not baseball weather. We went 0-3 and got home early.

And it's freaking 80 degrees today!!!! Crazy.

We'll be there as well and the weather sure looks like it could be a problem. We are a AA team and drew 2 super tough majors teams for pool play........maybe alittle rain will keep them off their game;! lol

We play a lot in Beaumont. We won’t be there this weekend but it takes a lot of rain for them to cancel those tournaments. Weather is only showing 40% rain Saturday. Shouldn’t be that bad. Good luck to all. Looks like a lot of competition coming in town.

We got introduced to some real GOOD baseball today in the 12u open division in Beaumont! Our little AA team has zero business here. Lol. On a positive note the boys played well considering and now understand what kind of commitment it takes to be a good team. Humble pie aplenty down here! I stopped counting at 15 home runs today and none came from my son's team.
