My 3rd cull of the season ended with a surprise when I found him. He didn't want to leave so I took a couple pics. I tried to get a selfie with him but he decided to not hang around. It was only about 40 minutes from shot to recovery, so he got on him quick.

I've had that happen once, two seasons ago. Shot a buck on the edge of an open field and came back about 30 minutes later with my atv to find a pack of hogs eating on him. They had the guts ripped out and were eating away. They didn't want to leave, and stayed about 15 yards from me popping their jaws while I loaded the deer up. Too bad I didn't bring a gun.
It was crazy.
