        si

        and the FBI blew it.

        Big Time

On Jan. 5, a person close to Florida school shooting suspect contacted FBI tipline and provided info on the suspect’s “gun ownership, desire to kill people, erratic behavior, and disturbing social media posts, as well as the potential of him conducting a school shooting,”
Too busy chasing pee dosier, "collusion" and texting their paramours as to their hate for one particular candidate to do their actual jobs.

What jfisher posted is evidence of unbelievable incompetence. You could make a case that they couldn't find him based on his youtube comment last Fall - maybe - but this is inexcusable. Someone called the FBI tip line last month and warned this guy was planning a school shooting and nobody followed up?

Attorney General Jeff Sessions on Friday ordered an "immediate review" after it emerged that the FBI had not acted on a recent tip that Florida school shooting suspect Nikolas Cruz wanted to “kill people” and there was the “potential of him conducting a school shooting.”

Wonder how many of these tips they get and what the manpower to investigate each and every one ..then provide maintenance to keep those investigations current is.
I dont think its difficult to come to a determination that the feat of actually performing what would seem easy on a one off basis ,based on the sheer volume they must get for just this classification would be impossible. Need an analogy?
Car theft. Stolen property. Add murders to that.
The resources just to investigate are extremely outweighed by the demands.. and thats not including the infrastructure to house a database, build catalog and classification structures/maintain current data information as well as surveilance, and build alghorythms to parse it all without violating someones "rights".
Just sayin.. a phone call with a tip ...isnt always as cut and dry as you think.
Lots of variables and intangibles have to be considered.

The FBI is proven to be in Shambles. Trump needs to go in and fire the head guys right now. Same with Homeland Security and DOJ.

So.. The sheriff there wants gun control, but law enforcement had been called to his house 39 times and nothing was done.

Feds were called about him, nothing was done.

The kid had mental health issues requiring ADHD / OCD medication and had previously attended a school for students with behavioral problems. Then a weapon is sold to him legally with a standard background check.

I'm sick of these people calling for more "gun control" when there were so many signs that even the students knew who it was doing this before he was named.

If law enforcement had jerked a knot in him early on, things might have been different.

The FBI and some school administrators did not follow up on what either of them were told by students, teachers and neighbors of this scumbag. There should be some people lose their jobs over this. Not sure how any of them can sleep at night knowing what happened and knowing they could have possibly stopped this from happening.

I agree that they must get many, many tips and leads. But 2 tips in a short period of time. And very specific information given in the tips. Not some crazy off the wall claim. One would think that multiple tips on the same individual would trigger some sort of action?

"The FBI was warned last month that Nikolas Cruz was an armed psycho who might shoot up a school — but it didn’t bother investigating, the agency admitted Friday.

“A person close to” Cruz called the agency’s tipline on Jan. 5 and reported the 19-year-old had a “desire to kill people, erratic behavior, and disturbing social media posts” and there was “potential of him conducting a school shooting,” the FBI said in a statement.

But the agency said it failed to pass on any of that information to its Miami field office, even thought its own protocols say he “should have been assessed as a potential threat to life.”

A little over a month later, on Wednesday, Cruz allegedly gunned down 17 people at his former high school"
