Vegas trip on a budget??

Lookin to go to Vegas in April for a fri-mon trip. Lookin for tips on where to stay and who to fly with and where to book it pretty cheap. Let me know of some of your experiences in this matter please! Thanks in advance

I have been looking for mid April and Southwest vacations seems to have the best deals. It all depends on what your looking to spend but downtown is about the cheapest.

Drove there and back, in January. Stayed at Valley of Fire State Park and the whole trip was less than $900.
Not the typical trip to Vegas, but I enjoyed it more than I would have if I'd done what most people do!

Our group of guys goes once a year, a lot of them fly spirit but I always fly southwest, we go thurs nights and come home mon mornings seems to be the cheapest, we also stay at harrahs since it's central and easy to walk everywhere each direction. Usually stay in the older wing and rooms were like 60-70

Research prices downtown vs. Strip. You’ll find more value staying downtown, but if you prefer the Strip, look at Excalibur. It will work on a budget, and is in a great location.

Check out Vegas.com for deals on flights and hotels. I usually Find them and Southwest to be the cheapest.

My wife and I go a couple times a year as we like it there. Be warned though that Vegas can be expensive once you get there. Flight and hotel seem to be the cheapest part of the trip but you can make it work if you’re smart with your money

Stayed one night in what the 4queens called a gamblers room. $29 .

I'd stay at a nice hotel and just stay off the tables for 2 hours and it will all even out.

There are cheaper casinos to stay at you just have to find the right days. We’ve stayed at quite a few and Excalibur is where we’ve stayed the last couple times cause we took the kids and it’s a castle. Food is also going to be expensive pretty much anywhere on the strip. I suggest going off the strip to restaurants cause there the prices won’t be infltated as much. Some casino restaurants have off the menu specials. Get a players card at hard rock and go to Luckys. Ask for the off the menu 7.77 gamblers special. It’s steak and shrimp for 7.77. Pretty hard to beat for the price.

Personally I would Not stay downtown. It is worth seeing, maybe one night of your trip, but I think You are better off staying at Monte Carlo or Luxor and being in the thick of things. If you stay down town you will spend more money on taxis to get to the place you want to go than what you save in room fare. If you stay on the strip you can walk to almost anything you want to do.

Some cheaper options of stuff to do:

-Battistas for Italian, huge shareable entres
-PBR Rock Bar for bbq and American fare. It’s a little cheesy but fun.
-Margaritaville actually has a good vibe and good for families.
-There are a bunch of Mexican restaurants in Vegas now, probably a little easier on the wallet.
-The Link has cheaper gambling and the boardwalk back to the Ferris wheel is a lot of fun for beers and people watching.

That’s all I can Think of off the top of my head. If you decide to stay downtown The Grand, California, and the Golden Nugget are good hotels. Pizza Rock is a good downtown restaurant on the cheap side but still nice.
