I am out of cedar so I have not made anymore progress on the kitchen table. I could go get cedar from the locals but I am being a little picky on what cedar I use. The cedar that is on the Texas Flag table is from my uncle in Tennessee and it was mill cut by the Amish. I am headed back to Tennessee in August and will bring back a trailer load of cedar. So in the mean time I started one of our new end tables which is the Republic of Texas Flag. This table will also have the cedar wrapped around the edges but I am out of cedar. I will be making two more end tables, the Come And Take It Flag and the Dont Tread On Me Flag end tables. I also started the US Flag that I am donating to the K9 Officers Association.

May of been said but that could make a sweet poker table in a man cave.

Finally made our trip to Tennessee to get the rest of the cedar that I needed to finish these tables. Epoxy clear on the top is the next step as soon as it arrives.

Progress made this weekend. The high build epoxy stated that if I was not using a oil based stain then I may want to apply a coat of poly clear which is what i was going to do to the bottom and legs, and let dry for 48 hours. So here is the first coat of poly on both tables.

Got the seal coat added to the small table. I will apply the flood coat some time this week if the love bugs die down some.

Thanks for the comments guys. This has been a slow project but will be well worth it once I am done. The epoxy coat process has been slow due to the swarm of love bugs lately.
