    MY Biggest Boar

Have been getting pictures of a good boar for several months at one of our feeders here in Decker Prairie. Hunted him three times in the last two months each time showing up but not presenting me with a good shot. I decided to take the climber and move into another tree to try and fool him. Old boars are smart and seem to have a sixth sense sometimes. After sweating my way up the tree and getting settled in a doe showed up and was eating corn for a few minutes when she looked up and stared into the brush. Shortly she quickly exited the area and about a minute later the big boy stepped out and went straight to the feeder. After four or five minutes i had the shot i was looking for and let the arrow fly. He went down on the spot with a thunderhead to the backbone because the shot was a little high. Sometimes a bad shot can be a good shot because it did not require any tracking to find him. After a follow up shot he was down for good. Well i had a problem on my hands because i could not load him by myself so i called a friend who lived close by and he came over and helped me. My buddy Tricky who hunts with me at this location came and helped me with the cleaning chore. He weighed in at 242 lbs. and has some nice cutters.
