Haven’t even loaded it yet. Bought 4 cans of H4350 so waiting on it to show up. Also ordering some new seater plugs for my VLD bullets so I’ve got a little wait on that as well. Should be slingin here in the next month or so. Found 100ct Lapua for my 7/08 for $79. Couldn’t pass it up!

264 win mag or 280AI what yall think.I do not reload at this time.I hunt W/T and exotics,300 yards or less.
That's me too, as far as custom bows and factory rifles shooting better than me. But dang, a custom is a custom. Hence the bows.

We need to drink some whiskey and talk weapons some time.

So would this build be considered a lighter weight rifle, or a heavier one? How would it compare to a Factory Remington Sendero for example? I love a heavy solid rifle. Obviously fluting the barrel will have some lightening effect.

I think Stick1 said right at 8lbs, depending on customers options.

A 260 for sure but I’m still deciding on specs while I try to make money appear haha!

Had I not just bought a 6.5 Grendel I’d be paying in full.

                  Yeah I have a sickness...

I'm behind these same thoughts. 7mag would be more ideal of these for anyone who believes elk and/or nilgai hunts are in their future.

I believe this has been discussed before. Let's make it happen.

I continue to bounce back and forth if I want to do this and than trying to decide what caliber. Decisions decisions decisions.

257 roberts or 25-06 are also great choices but ammo can be a little tougher to find (roberts mainly)

I grew up shooting a Roberts and still do to this day.
25-06 is very easy to find hornady makes a great factory 120gr. round.

I'm kinda leaning toward a quarter bore, maybe a .25-06.

Really considering this. What do you guys think about a 257 Weatherby Mag? I have a 22-250, 7mm-08, and 300 Win mag. It would be used mainly on whitetail size critters. I won't be shooting it all day at the range after sight in so barrel life isn't a big issue.
