Birds weren’t too vocal this evening

    Oh well

We’ll be at the spot where I doubled up last April

Scouting has been decent (at best) but I know the birds are there.

PoPo is going with but I got first shot

For those don’t know PoPo....here’s a look into the last 10 minutes from turkey camp.

      Where we sitting?
      Are you sure?
      What about this place?
      Where we goin?
      Get me a beer!
      Where we sitting?
      Where’s my flashlight?
      What decoys you setting up?
      Where’s my flashlight?
Let’s talk about our Nebraska trip!
      (PoPo, we’re going to Wyoming!)
      Ok...what if it snows?
      Did you get the chairs?
      Alright, one more beer.
Text Smart and tell him to find the turkeys for us.

I love hunting with this turkey killer!!!

That man is a living legend. Many great hunts with him.

Just got in from the ranch, josh25tx and I put some to roost in atascosa county. Not going to be a easy hunt in the morning they roosted with a bunch of hens near the big tank. It's like the hen crop this year is triple what it was last year.....good luck to all in the morning!

Good luck Clay! Put three birds to roost on the Nueces river last night, hopefully they pitch down on the right side.

Driving 3.5 hours just to turn around and leave the same evening. I’ve never killed one the opening weekend of the south zone, but am looking to change that today. I know their general patterns. I’ll probably do little calling, set up in an open area, and let the dekes do the work.

About 10 minutes from the gate here in Duval. Not sure what the birds are up to but there is sign all over the ranch. Updates as I can

I’ve only killed one bird on opening weekend!

                              Setup and ready to roll

We have a big group gobbling to the east and a few to the west...and we’re right in the middle.

                              Hopefully they cooperate
