We're three games in and he looked good in two. Get back with me after this weekend and maybe I'll be ready to reconsider.
I'll get with you next week I honestly hope I don't have to.

Auburn's defense will be no slouch. I would like to see Mond use his legs more, which may not have been an option during Clemson with him cramping.

Pop a midol and throw a good pass.
Give the recievers some confidence in that their QB isnt going to lead them 3 feet out and 3 foot up so they get creamed every play...

Thats what stops dropped passes.

I think last year we held Auburn to like 19 yards rushing. They are returning 4/5 of their OL starters from that team, and we have held P5 teams to 102 yards rushing on average since Elko arrived.

Shut down their run game again, and this FR QB hasn't shown enough consistency passing to beat us. Hold them to 17-20 and hope Mond shows up

Nix:
Oregon - 13/31 (42%) with 2INT
Tulane - 19/37 (51%)
Kent State - 12/16 for 161

24-17 Ags or 20-17 Ags

Pretty sure it was his 90 mph pitch to Williams that they scooped and scored on and then he threw a late INT trying to seal the game to give them to MO.

I made up the 80% stat. BUT IT WAS A BUNCH.

At end of year he was in top 5 of qb forndeep.ball accuracy. That stat is not made up. Again this year he is in top 5. Despite what people think he is an accurate qb downfield.

Thank God for Collin and LjHs leaping and grabbing ability last year. He overthrew Duvernay and Beck plenty.

To me his is noticeably more accurate downfield this year .

What is their definition of downfield? I think it is throws traveling more than 16 yards downfield from the line of scrimmage. Sam is really accurate throwing the ball down the seam from that range to about 30 yards.

It is the truly deep go, post, and corner routes that he hasn't been successful on.

Drive 3 stalled (at the 14) thanks to dropped passes by Horry (tough chance) and a likely TD by Ausbon. Kendrick Rogers dropped a pass at the end of the half that would have resulted in a FG attempt.

Other than the INT coming out of the half (and 4 drops), what did you want to see from Mond that you didn't?
The thing I'd like to see him do better is hit on the long balls. Other than that, I think he's done well, excluding the Clemson game. That first missed pass down field against Clemson could have been exactly what Mond needed for that game to go much different.

Anyone else confused as to how the Aggies win by 59 points and manage to drop in the AP Rankings?

We played a absolute nobody and did what we were suppose to do while a lower ranked team played a somebody and absolutely demolished them.

Wonder if this happens before or after there is one more in the books? (8 or 9? In a reaux)

BAMA still needs to figure out how to run the ball if they want to have a shot at the Bayou Bagels.

Itís kind of early in the week for a game prediction but I am sitting in the NOLA airport drinking a Dixie Lager (pretty good beer) getting excited about Saturday at Kyle Field.

1. We wonít be able to run against Auburn
2. Auburn wonít be able to run against ATM
3. Mond is going to have to throw the ball effectively and pick up a few first downs with his legs.
4. Nix gets his first road test. Itís gonna be loud. His OL could get scrambled if their LT canít go. Advantage Mond
5. Aggie Defense gets 2 turnover, 1 of which is an INT.

Ags 20 - Auburn 13

Well, no TCU/Texas game. Hagen and I were looking at the TPWD draw hunts back in August and he thought it would be cool to put in for a few. He went 1 of 6 and drew a hunt for Mason Mountain the weekend of October 26th. Should be a fun experience!

I promised Karla we wouldnít get to tailgate so early this week. So Mattís El Rancho for lunch, probably Black Sheep Pub to watch some games and then tailgate mid afternoon.

This will be a good measuring stick game for Texas. Itís going to be a good game and Texas should win, letís see if they do it.
