I had one like that in the rafters of my barn. Climbed up on the tractor and nearly looked him eye to eye.

I nearly hurt myself getting off the tractor! ��

After catching my breath I realized he was just a chicken snake.

I hate all snakes. Not long ago I would have had a large shotgun hole through the top of my doorframe. This snake was released into the woods about a half
Mike away. My sons friend grabbed him and took him away. My son ask me if it was a dangerous snake and I said only if your friend tries to chase me with it then it could be deadly to your friend. Lol.

You are probably correct. Rat snakes raid nest often. I just wish they would eat more squirrels.

They do like to climb for an egg reward. Got this from someone I forgot who on TBH but I like it, “If it’s tall as your hat, must be a rat (snake)”
