8th Gen from what’s now Grimes County, where it’s namesake, my gggggg grandfather Jesse Grimes was a State Senator and signer of the Texas Declaration of Independence. His son, Albert Calvin Grimes fought and died at the age of 18 in the Alamo.

6th on my mom's 4th on my dad's. My however many great grandfather came in 1831 and settled right out of Sealy. Served in the Army, was at San Jac with the group that rounded up Mexican Soldiers after the battle. Wasn't part of the charge because he didn't speak english. My family is still on parts of the same land he settled then.
