I'll be in my stand by 5:15 am. Any later and I get busted.
Tried tonight but of course there were bucks all around and hanging out with each other and the does like it was mid summer again. |

I'm not saying I won't bust a gun out at some point but as of right now I'm gonna stick with my bow for awhile.
I'm actually not hunting this weekend because I got family obligations. But I'll be back at it next weekend. |

This is my first season Bow hunting, prior to a 3 months ago when I first got my bow and started practicing, the plan this year was to bow hunt during archery if I felt confident in shooting, then switch to rifle for rifle season and hunt like I normally do.
After sitting in a tree stand and tripod stand and watching them come in at 10 yards and being literally surrounded by deer for a few weekends I'm not sure my rifle is even gonna get to see the light this year. Its a different ballgame and I like it, no reason to stop. |

Bow only all season for me...
I bring my BIL, buddy and his kid in that last weekend with their smoke poles if we need does or culls whacked. I'd rather them shoot them with a rifle and watch them enjoy it than pull out a rifle myself at our place. Now I'll pull one out on other properties if required, but my lease, it's bow or bust. |
