Are we in mourning this weekend? Georgetown worker was lowering national colors to half staff on city staff (mast is on a ship) when I walked by. I asked why and he couldnt answer.

Yessir! MEMORIAL Day is not a weekend for mattress sales and drunken behavior! It is truly a serious and sobering holiday. So sad so few actually understand why we have it.

Flag should be half mast sunrise to noon Monday for mourning of the fallen, then raised to full height for the rest of the day to commemorate the freedoms we have beacause of them.
