Hopefully the acorns will come on.

We got a good six inches of rain a couple days ago, but some of these little acorns are already dead.

I can’t speak for everybody but i think most hill country hunters can agree acorns do not help your season because the deer can walk a few steps and have food as opposed to eating our corn

Seems like good rains in September will help fill them out, but that’s no scientific study.

We’re all hardwood up here so I always hope for good mast crops. It’s good for all wildlife & I would think that most outdoorsman would appreciate that.

Yeah. I have just a few big live oaks that produce really well. I have several that don't put on anything, for whatever reason.
I know the Hill Country guys are covered up in them, mostly.

any of ya'll ever put a serious effort into collecting acorns? If so I'd like to buy some from water oaks, white oaks, etc. to scatter on my place and try to get some to sprout.

Some of our oaks down here are putting on small acorns, one smaller tree has alot of acorns and its the first time I've notice that tree with acorns

We collect acorns every year. Mostly white, red and sawtooth.
