And Leach got destroyed in the Cotton Bowl by a 'decent' Ole Miss team in his only 10 win season....

By Texas reject QB Jevan Snead.

Tech says they didn't wanna be there.

Tech has always looked at a successful season as getting in a bowl game no matter if it is the Toilet bowl, or the Crap Bowl as long as they get in a bowl! Sorry to you Tech faithful, but dispute me on this as it is printed in the AJ every time they get bowl eligible. Been here since 1975 and seen it way too many times!

Whatever you think of Leach, he made Tech the best they've ever been, and changed the way football is played in the big 12. He was giving aggy more than they could handle, before they left and Texas nor ou was looking forward to going to Lubbock. Maybe it was sustainable, maybe it wasn't...but he was the best they ever had and he was building momentum.

That little James **** is the one who should have been run out of town, with his cheating dad...

Agreed. But the debate was he was similar/comparable to GP and that's just not accurate. One is regularly considered one of the top 5 coaches in the country and one is a pirate

Mike Leach is a good football coach but I don't imagine there are too many programs that would choose him over GP.

It's a joke as to how he was run out of town!

I was just arguing how great Leach was for TT. I would never put him in the class of GP.

Yeah, i read where he committed to Rice when he was about a 210lb guard or something crazy. Then stuck with it after he started growing.

I bet Gunnell goes Arky or LSU. Straight to the top of the depth chart. Fisher will keep working on him.

For 6 years JF has referenced a qb. You’re going to have to use CJF for fisher so you don’t keep everybody confused.

Gunnel is the exact type of qb that fisher uses. He doesn’t use the legs of a qb like a lot of coaches do. He wants a smart qb that can make all the throws and pickup a first down if things break down. His national championship at FSU was with Winston, who was the most fleet afoot. He could grab you a first down for on time to time, but Winston knew the offense forwards and backwards. He just didn’t realize you have to pay for crab at the supermarket.
