Jalen Hurts = Braxton Miller

similar numbers and intangibles as JH should switch to WR if he wants to play on Sundays

That game was enjoyable to watch. I had no dog in that fight but found myself pulling for the left handed freshman once he started to connect with his receivers. That last pass for the win was very impressive. He had to look the safety off to make that play happen and he did. Not easy to stare one way and then turn around and throw a perfect pass the other way to a streaking receiver. The kid has skills for sure.

I mean everyone takes defense first, but for a ref to say I think you want defense first right?

you need to get your hearing checked.... BAMA was never advised to go on defense first. The referee asked #75 .... "Wanna go on defense first ? " It was a question , to which BAMA replied YES ..... said referee then opined ...... "that's what I thought". If BAMA had lost the coin toss, the referee would have asked Georgia the same question ... "Wanna go on defense first ? ".

you sound way to butt hurt based on the outcome of the game

Like yourself and many other CFB fans... I too have BAMA fatigue. Mine goes way back to the 70's with Bear Bryant vs. Charlie McClendon. I can't stand 'em. The only way to beat BAMA is to out-physical, and out-execute them for 60 minutes. Clearly ALA out-executed Georgia in the 2nd half which is why they won, even playing a sub-par game.

Amazing stat, ALA never had the lead (60+ minutes) until the final play of the game. UGA lead the game for 56 minutes and OT as they did not execute to seal the deal. Credit BAMA as they find ways to win.

If you had to take a shot every time the announcers said. "He's a true freshman." You would have died of alcohol poising twenty five times in the second half and that's NOT counting the post game "stuff."
"He's an instant true freshman legend!" What?
"The 5 true freshmen won the game for Alabama." W.A.C.O.S.
Has anyone ever seen Nick Saban The $11.125 Million Dollar Man smile?

Yes, i took it as he started talking about the game to answer the question, then stopped and said his parents would be disappointed that he didn't give praise to God right off the bat.

Sounds like a terrific young man which is refreshing these days when you have the baker mayfield types!

Did anyone else #48 for alabama try to go after an assistant coach after he got the personal foul call for punching the georgia player in the face. He looked like a real class act.

Butt hurt....nah

****** at the bias Bama is shown yes....

They are a great team, well coached, and disciplined ( although last night they were not).
Georgia choked....you can blow a 17 point lead at 6 min left in the 3rd...they took Michele out of the game when he was rolling over Bama, and put in Chubb who ran like he was scared.....
I absolutely love nothing better than when Saban loses...so yes I have Bama fatigue

BTW- ESPN early odds for 2019 playoff-
Bama ( if they can squeeze by The Citadel in late November)
Georgia
Clemson

Not a bad comparison but I would concede that Braxton had a lot more arm talent than Hurts, or at the very least a lot more arm strength. And I absolutely concur that Hurts has to change positions if he wants to continue on to the next level.

Blake, the ref had no business saying anything to the players during the coin toss. That's the first time I have ever heard it.

Can't believe Brown acted a fool on the sideline like that and was allowed to play.

Itís going to be fun to watch him play next year. I had no idea a freshman that has barely played could handle that pressure on the biggest stage.

Not sure why someone would have a problem with what the ref said. He made the comment after they had already picked defense... said that's what I thought. Why is that a problem?

Agree with the brown thing though! I didn't think he would see the field again.

Of course he was throwing to a different receiver when Ridley caught the TD on that fourth down. If that play doesnít happen, Georgia is your National Champions. I know of my aunt....

Just pointing out that was a major break he got. Gilbert played well when he had to play in 2009.

In his defense, our defense had a better chance to score than our offense.

Saw somewhere that after last night, every kid Saban has recruited since 1999 has a championship.

Also they were saying today that Tua thought he was better than hurts and was mad he didn't get to play in the sugar bowl. Rumblings of him saying he was going to transfer if he didn't play in the national championship.

He did. They lost because they had no running game to allow him to be worked in slowly. The genius of Colt Mc Coy and the short passing game was the Texas running game that year. The entire first half when GG came in it was 3 running plays to Tre Newton, punt, short field for Bama, touchdown.

When they opened it up in the 2nd half he played well. The Bama D made some crucial plays late to preserve the win.

1-7-1 (7-1-1) should have been 0-8-1 (8-0-1)

Colt said he knew what they were gonna do before they did it. Texas was rolling. It would not have been close.

I agree. Like I said he was far from successful, I donít think any DC would have been successful with their defense on the field that long.

I agree with you on the horrible run defense. Pass defense wasnít all that great eaither when it mattered. I donít think the players were nearly as physical as they should have been, or as physical as the good defenses in college football.

Probably some of the most underutilized talent in college football. Even the end all and be all Garretówho was greató-never really laid people out like the defensive players from Alabama, Georgia or OU.

Not to mention the terrible decision making.

All of that coupled with the players being exausted and we get exactly what we got.

Looking forward to the team Fisher and Elko will build.
