Taxi sent me a picture!!

My taxidermist, Double Nickle, sent me a picture of my finished mount and I’m SO excited to get him on his pedestal at home!! I’m making the floor pedestal out of an old whiskey barrel that I’ve cut out to double as a cabinet to store the living room throws. When I have him mounted up I’ll post pictures of the finished product. I seriously can’t wait! I’ll finish the top out with some artificial grasses, rock and whatnot and some canned lighting. I don’t think the picture does him justice but he’s still my biggest axis!

The hunter just has to remember to leave/bring plenty of skin. The whole skin is best.

Thank y’all for the compliments and yes I agree, it’s a great action form. Here’s a picture of the barrel used as a liquor cabinet and one of it used as the base. I’m not putting nearly as much scenery on mine though, less is more in my opinion.
