I have come to the conclusion that being a youth minister might not ever be able to provide the oppurtunity for me to afford a trip to New Zealand to chase after stag and fallow so......................... I stayed in Texas and got to do both. I also got to be with a kid in my youth group Adam (Jackalope) when he took his first ever bow kill, a high silver medal corsican that we put a hour stalk on to get with in range.
My stag came the first evening and was the last stag of the three to come in. He finally offered a shot at just over 25yds and around fifty yards later I was amazed to put my hands on the antlers and try moving him. These things are huge!!!
We had another great time at Hunt's hanging with Rickey and his family.
