Any of y’all been to either place? Taking my wife to Waco to go to Magnolia Market Saturday for her birthday. Staying at the Hilton close to the market. Both places are close to the market. Looking to just hangout and have some fun.

I wasn't that impressed with the Buzzard. Haven't eaten at the Backyard. I'd go to George's for sure.

Georges Bar is another bar/grill in Waco. They have 2 locations.

My choices would be the Backyard, then George's, then Buzzard Billy's in that order.

Back Yard is the place to go and hang out. Make sure you check the website for concert schedules. The food the stinks though.

Anyone ever try Jake's tea house?

Jake is my uncle and they do a family style meal. Pretty good imo.

George's and Buzzard Billy's is the same greasy food, George's just has a better drinking atmosphere. Haven't been to Back Yard. There is also Cricket's and if she wants to dress up a little there is Diamond Backs.

George's is a great hangout especially if she likes sports. Backyard is a pretty cool place. I was there last summer to watch Whiskey Myers and that was awesome. I would say start out at George's and then go to Backyard for a concert if anybody is playing. Buzzard's is ok, but it's far from the best seafood you are going to get. Kind of disappointing last time I was there.
