Well, the best part is I left my grunt tube in my jacket at the truck, so this is me winging it and making a mouth call. If it fooled him, maybe it’ll actually work in a pinch! Then again... he ain’t a deer. He’s really getting after it now.

I had a blast. I bailed at lunch today. I saw deer every sitting except yesterday morning in the bad wind. I saw 2 bucks or possibly the same one twice. I passed on a yearling doe and a 130" buck. I saw my first herd of Hagerman hogs and I don't know what happened, but I did the walk of shame with a lit nocturnal and no game. I stalked within 10 yards of two fawns and 40 yards of three does and I didn't get beat up in the parking lot.

Next time we all need to camp at the same place.
