    Couple of easy dove meals

    Bacon Wrapped Dove

    Breast out your dove
Wrap both pieces in a slice of bacon with a quarter of jalapeno and a cube of cheddar
    Secure with a toothpick
    Grill until bacon is crispy
    Enjoy!

    Dove Kabobs

    Breast out your dove
Marinate in soy sauce and a good dusting of Ragin' Blaze
    Skewer alongside your favorite veggies
Sprinkle skewers with salt, pepper, and more soy sauce
Grill about 5 mins each side

(I just realized my wife bought mushrooms for these, and I completely forgot to use them)

Looks like one of your skewers is missing its bird

LOL. Yeah, the first meal was Friday evening when my dad and I shot 22 birds between the 2 of us.

The kabobs were my way of finishing off the 4 birds I got Saturday morning.

leave em on the bone, brown them with a little butter and seasoning, and finish them by braising in brown gravy with chilisand onion. paloma guisada as my cooks like to call it. also great to make mole. teal are great this way too.

This is one that I am going to try this year.

                      boneless dove breasts
                      ~ large jalapeno peppers
                      ~ 1 large onion
                      ~ Provolone cheese
~ 1 lb hickory smoked bacon, slices cut in half
                      ~ Raspberry Walnut dressing
                      ~ brown sugar
                      ~ cayenne pepper

Slice the peppers length wise into thin slices. Remove the seeds and veins.

Cut the onion into pieces about half the size of a single breast.

Cut the cheese into slices about the same size as a single breast.

Wrap one breast, pepper, onion and cheese slice with a piece of bacon. Place in large bowl.

Continue until all the breasts are wrapped.

Pour the dressing over the poppers. Cover and refrigerate 2 hours.

Place the poppers on a foil lined baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes.

While poppers are cooking, in a bowl, mix together 3 parts brown sugar with 1 part cayenne pepper. Adjust for preferred spiciness. Make enough for a light to medium coat on the poppers.

After the poppers have cooked for 20 minutes, sprinkle on the sugar/pepper mix.

Bake another 15 - 20 minutes or until bacon is done.

Remove and let cool for a few minutes.

                      Serve and enjoy.

i do mine with the bacon and japs just like you showed in the first pick but then put like 6 or so on a skewer! they are a little easier to flip on the pit that way. Just make shure you soak the skewers in some water first cuz they will catch on fire!!!!

Picks sure look good, i think I will cook some this weekend thank you!
