Called the land owner and told him he had a 7 pack ready at the trap.....good good good was the answer.

It seems every time I spring the trap I'm at home on a work night and miss out on the fun.

It is when they're coming at a decent time of night...like I said I was watching Platoon and enjoying a bowl of blue bell when I hit the gate.

The trap is a bit over built Imo and can take some time to get the hogs comfortable with it. Now that we've had a good freeze and most all of the acorns and pecans have been cleaned up it will get better.

There's a little over $300 in there but that's a drop in the bucket compared to the damage they do to the pasture and corn fields.

Here's one nights work. The dark area was rooted in overnight.

Had this burly looking fella show up last night but his two running buddies wouldn't enter the trap so I didn't drop the hammer.

I have another camera outside the trap looking at the gate. They milled around near the gate but were hesitant to enter. Hopefully they'll all come in or else I'll have to use dogs on the other two....not what I want to do.

Dropped the hammer on these three. No pictures after the gate closed as they huddled under the camera. They've been loaded and will be headed to the buyer shortly.
