Has anyone seen these feeders that can recognize different animals?

I actually quoted building a similar unit for a company out of Mississippi I believe. This is not really meant to be a feeder. These companies are getting ready because a species specific delivery system will be required to deliver the poison/birth control for hogs when it's approved.

You are correct and they started the initial poison program and were selected to do a second program soon.

Just wondering how all of the electronics and moving parts on that thing will hold up to being in an the Texas outdoors all year. Just seems like maintenance nightmare. The shock feature is cool though.
